Window Pods®
At VanShades we have a wide selection of van window solutions, all of which are easy to install, with a pre-assembled blind and frame system which offer stylish privacy. The classic and contemporary alternative to curtains look like they were purchased with the van, the Window Pods ® achieve a flawless modern finish to windows.
Granted they look stylish, the Pods are also manufactured with blackout and thermal qualities whilst reducing condensation and noise pollution from your vehicle. Available in 13 variations, Pods can be fitted on any window of the van – on both fixed and sliding doors and windows -and can be acquired with or without carpet coverings.
Recently, we have added our new Window Pods® Select blind system to the range. The Select option is a vacuum formed ABS pod, faced with an aluminium composite sheet and is available in 15 different colours with a wipe clean silk finish.
Pop Tops
Although we are recognised for our blinds alternatives, Vanshades also offer pop top and elevating roof products. Like our Pods, the Pop Top Wrap products accommodate a special insulated layer sandwiched between the outer and inner hydro coated polyester to keep your vehicle warmer during cooler months/climates as well as cooler in the summer months.
Not only does it provide an extra layer of insulation for your camper, but it also provides a noticeable increase in height for your van giving the illusion of more space and a more homely feel. The pop top roof is manufactured to seamlessly follow the profile of your van’s roof and structure.
Screencovers
For both personalisation and security reasons, our Vanshades screen covers are available in an array of colours and designs as a fun way of securing your camper’s possessions and blocking sunlight.
Vans are often used as a home away from home or a workplace on wheels, whereby owners use the large space to keep valued assets, so it pays to keep them secure and the screencovers do just that. Both the Pods and the Screencovers offer reassurance that when you’ve parked and left the vehicle, you can be sure prying eyes cannot see your assets inside.
The screencover, which comes complete with its own polyester drawstring storage bag, can be easily stored away due to its compact size (100 x 18cm) cover the entirety of the front windshield and sides of the cabin.
Attachment is simple, by the built in door pocket hung over the outer edge of the door; the screens are secured via Velcro around the wing mirrors and an additional Velcro button to minimise wind movement in all weather conditions.
Splashbacks
Equally as important as external, is your camper van’s interiors. To keep the van looking as homely as possible, as camper vans are used to live in for many, it is sensible to make the van feel as comfortable as possible, with privacy in mind. During the conversion process, there are numerous ways to personalise and make your van more practical.
Like the Pods, Vanshades’ Splashbacks provide a stylish and practical solution to combining a bulky sliding window and a thermal blind, for the window behind the driver.
Manufactured from tough 5mm cast acrylic or aluminium bonded composite sheets, Vanshades Splashbacks are laser cut with polished edges as an on-trend way of completing your kitchen side conversion.
The Splashbacks are available in a wide range of colours and finishes and include your choice of Vanshades Window Pods thermal cellular blinds. The rear of the Splashback is carpeted using Anthracite carpet to prevent light ingress and has a matching blinds aperture cut to the same profile as the Window Pod® system.
ChairPods
Perfect for a camping adventure, Vanshades ChairPods combine style with practicality, utilising wasted space to permanently store two ultra-lightweight yet comfortable chairs.
The ChairPods are designed specifically for retro fitting to your VWT5 & T6 Tailgate. Its lightweight aluminium frame section makes it easy to slide the two chairs in and out. At just 1.8 kg each, the chairs can support up to 120 kg.
Made of a robust canvass bag, the ChairPod comes ready to fit complete with two ultra-light aluminium chairs which can be removed at any time. Installation is simple, with all necessary fittings and illustrated instructions included.
Tables
Unlike a fixed or loose table which consumes a large area of space in your camper van, Vanshades’ LOC8 Table Pod is a simple and effective way of showcasing and storing a table. The standalone camping table is securely stored inside your nearside sliding door of all Right Hand Drive VW T5 and T6 models – manufactured from 2004 onwards. It can be fitted in minutes and requires absolutely no modification to your sliding door.
Manufactured from 10mm laminated birch ply finished with hard wearing 2mm silver colour plastic edging (Size: 840mm x 510mm x 10mm), the table is supported by fold out legs, manufactured in lightweight black aluminium, fitted with adjustable feet.
The Loc8 Table system is also suitable for use in both SWB and LWB models with or without a power operated door.
